RADIANCE - stylised Tui feather pendant
This is a gorgeous sleek pendant carved in jade. The design represents the feather of a tui - a native New Zealand bird which is regarded as a national heritage animal.
Kerry has created a piece that is both eye-catching and tactile. The stone has been finished in a satin matte that is gorgeous to handle. The feather's spine has been polished to a high shine - a fine visual contrast that catches the light and draws attention.
Māori belief is that the tui is a messenger to the Goddesses and Gods - that they provide a medium to communicate with higher beings. Tui are associated with spiritual harmony and condfidence - if you have ever watched these confident, cheeky birds in action you will share this perception!
