Hand carved for us by Kerry Thompson, this is an epic piece of art! Intricate and detailed RONGO is a 'two for one' - the front face shows a traditional, carved face contrasted with a flowing and strong koru. The other side appears as a powerful koru design - gorgeous and harmonious!
Kerry has coloured particular parts of the bone with a light brown stain - this provides a subtle contrast of colours which provides definition and draws your eye. From a distance the pendant appears as a koru, but as you near, the face slowly emerges - a soft, commanding presence.
RONGO is a large sized pendant.
Kerry has left the stained bone matte and has polished the natural bone to a lovely sheen, again this adds to the beautiful dimension of this piece.
RONGO is provided with an adjustable length cord.
