WINGED MESSENGER is a stylised Tui feather, carved in New Zealand pounamu.
The Tui is a native New Zealand bird and is regarded as a national heritage animal. Māori belief is that the tui is a messenger to the Goddesses and Gods - that they provide a medium to communicate with higher beings. Tui are associated with spiritual harmony and condfidence - if you have ever watched these confident, cheeky birds in action you will share this perception!
Hand carved from New Zealand Jade, Kerry has given the body a matte finish and has polished the spine to a high shine. The combination of matte and polish provides a striking effect - this piece looks wonderful worn.
WINGED MESSENGER is provided with a fixed length cord and Jade toggle. If you would like an adjustable cord, or a different coloured cord with the loop and toggle - please let us know in the comments section at checkout.
