KAHA - ENGRAVED SMALL BONE HOOK

In stock

Kaha - Strength

The traditional matau or hook shape has a long history in Polynesia -  they were used as a practical tool for fishing and were often decorated as a sign of respect for the creatures of the sea. The owner of a good hook was able to provide for the family and village - this brought respect and prosperity.

This pendant is a contemporary design - graceful, beautifully detailed and hand carved. An elegant necklace that has plenty of 'wow' about it!

We will deliver this pendant on a hand plaited black adjustable cord and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the hook design.
