A traditional hei-matau (hook) carved from a beautiful, rare piece of inanga jade.
This is a lovely, slender carving which highlights the beauty of this particular type of jade. Inanga is renowned for its pale, milky green colour. When finely carved like this the soft tones become apparent.
These pendants are believed to bring the wearer good luck and prosperity and to provide guidance and protection when travelling.
This piece has been left matte in the traditionally carved fashion.
We will provide this with an adjustable braided cord and a woven pouch.
