DREAM WALKER - a Collectable Hand Carved Tiki
A beautiful RARE New Zealand Flower Jade Pounamu Tiki pendant hand carved by Tim Steel.
This is a large and superbly crafted piece. It has been handcarved from beautiful New Zealand Flower Jade. Half of this Tiki's body, and its head, are a semi-translucent apple green colour, the top half of the body is a wonderful milky green kissed with a little gold.
This is some of our finest jade and Tim has really excelled in showcasing the stone with this gorgeous carving. His attention to detail and his precise and creative carving have resulted in a very unique and special piece. We see a lot of tiki and this is one is a beauty!
We've hand plaited a Manuka Green/Khaki cord to accentuate the deep and light green tones in this very unique jade. We've used double strands to slightly thicken the cord and maintain a balance with the carving.
DREAM WALKER is wearable, but equally would make a stunning display piece.

The tiki is a well recognised symbol in Maori culture, but also has historical roots in Hawaiian and wider Polynesian cultures. It is believed to symbolise fertility, and was often worn by women as a fertilising symbol. Its form is believed to represent a human embryo, often carved with the hands placed on the loins in what is believed to be a direct reference to fertility.
These pendants were traditionally highly valued and wearers were seen to possess clarity of thought, loyalty, great inner knowledge and strength of character.
We will deliver this beautiful Tiki on a hand plaited Manuka Green/Khaki Green adjustable cord and will ship to you with DHL Express Courier.
