CIRCLE OF LIFE - a beautiful hand carved Tagua Nut pendant.
We asked the artist - Sami - what inspired him to carve this piece. He has always wanted to carve the mighty elephant - was just waiting for the right material. He certainly hit the gold seam here!
The Tagua nut is known as vegetable ivory - it is in fact the very hard seed produced by some palm trees - it is exceptionally dense, 100% natural and apparently beautiful to carve. Certainly Sami has produced a little masterpiece here.
CIRCLE OF LIFE is beautifully carved - the artist has captured subtle details perfectly, the 'nature' of nature in this finest of carvings - a wonderful and creative pendant.
CIRCLE OF LIFE was carved for us by Sami - a farmer and artist from Taranaki. He is wonderfully creative and produces original, beautifully crafted art work. These are all one-off pieces and will not be repeated. These works are a genuine example of the beauty of art created to wear.
We provide this pendant on an adjustable, tan coloured cord with a small jade bead just above the pendant.
