DREAM DIVER - a wonderful bone whaletail pendant carved for us by Yuri Terenyi. This is a striking little pendant that is really very attractive won. Yuri has used a natural homemade tea dye which give these their gorgeous reddish glow, and we have bound them in colours to complement the design and colours of the pendant.

The whale holds a special place in the hearts of us down here in the South Pacific and this is a wonderful piece to show our deep respect for the whale.
Legend has it that the whale has protected Māori journeying in their waka (canoes) which is why these symbols are often gifted to people undertaking journeys, or perhaps starting a new chapter in their lives.
The koru is worn as a symbol of re-birth, growth and development. It represents the unfurling fronds of the fern, and is typically carved with delicate spirals and decorative swirls - this is a superb example.
We will ship this little piece on a hand plaited black, adjustable cord and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the koru design you see carved into the whale tail.
