NEW ARTIST - KERRY THOMPSON
MAHALO NUI - Many thanks... a large and striking koru pendant carved in New Zealand flower jade.
Kerry has used a New Zealand Marsden Jade for this carving. It is a wonderful pierce of stone - textured and rich. It reveals a mix of colours - orange and greens all highlighted with a soft, lovely polish.
This pendant is a large, beautifully carved and striking work of art. It is carved with depth and width and has a real heft - it is a significant piece of jewellery.
MAHALO NUI is provided with a fixed length cord and Jade toggle. If you would like a different coloured cord, fixed length or adjustable, please let us know in the comments section at checkout.
MAHALO NUI is a carefully thought through pendant, with considerable history sitting behind the design.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
The shape is streamlined, gloriously curved and quite unique. Take a look at the video and you will appreciate the artistry of this beautiful piece.
DELIVERY WITH DHL EXPRESS COURIER IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.
Also included, our 'Kia ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the design.
