NGARU MOANA - OCEAN WAVE
A spectacular, flower jade koru sculpture. Hand carved by New Zealand Master Jade Carver - Ric Moor.
NGARU MOANA is carved from a glorious piece of New Zealand Pounamu - a piece of flower jade from the Marsden region on the South Island's West Coast. This is a spectacular sculpture - a beautiful design, beautifully carved.
Standout for us is the execution - Ric's skilled use of the jade. He has carved the koru folds with light in mind - the jade is so fine in the troughs that it lets light glow through. Place this piece with a soft light positioned behind and it glows.
The Koru is displayed on a Greywacke stand - the Greywacke comes from a boulder that Ric collected from his local West Coast beach and carved to cradle this gorgeous sculpture.
NGARU MOANA is a fantastic showcase piece - New Zealand Flower Jade and a sculpted stand in Greywacke Stone.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PIECE OF CARVED ART - WE HAVE ONE ONLY
