WINTER SUNSET
In stock
WINTER SUNSET - we had this piece carved from New Zealand Kokopu Jade, a gorgeous piece of stone that we recently sourced. This is another piece we had carved from a boulder that had been owned by a family for over 50 years - we are thrilled to carve this beautiful stone and share it with many!
One of the most interesting pieces we have seen in a while - the stone is gorgeous!
WINTER SUNSET is a large and beautiful Pounamu Toki.
We have added a hand Moss Green adjustable cord with a traditional Sage lashing. The stone is central to this piece - a beautiful piece of New Zealand Kokopu Jade.
The jade is named after a native fish that is becoming increasingly rare in New Zealand inland streams. The soft speckled appearance of the jade is a little like the colour of this little fish, and is quite rare.
WINTER SUNSET is finished in a soft matte sheen.
The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful ....and this is a good one!
Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.
We include our 'Kia Ora' card explaining the meaning behind the Toki design.
Shipping is included in the price.
