This is a photo of a contemporary matau, or hook, shaped pendant carved in New Zealand greenstone. This pendant was carved for us by Ana Krakosky. Both ends of the hook are finished in a flute shape with carved indentations that soften the overall shape and look of the piece. The cord is an olive green, its hand plaited and finished with a loop and a jade toggle closure.

This is a gorgeous piece - a contemporary matau design, carved in a wonderful piece of New Zealand jade. It is eye-catching, beautifully carved - a lovely one-off piece of jewellery.

The cord is finished with a loop and a jade toggle. The cord is a hand-plaited Olive colour and is around 58cm (22.8 inches) diameter.
