EMERALD HAVEN - a striking koru pendant carved in New Zealand flower jade.
Carved by Kerry Thompson, this koru has an unusual, elongated shape with a unique scalloped back. He has used a subtle Marsden Jade for this beautiful Koru. It is a wonderful piece of stone - textured and rich with a mix of colours - green, mint, darker inclusions and tinges of orange. The finish is a soft polish which lends the stone the most wonderful feel. EMERALD HAVEN is a piece to wear daily.
Kerry carves these pieces to symbolise, and reflect on, the ups and downs one confronts on the journey through life. Like the koru's spiral shape, there are ups and downs in every life - and it should be filled with promise of renewal and growth.

The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
The shape is streamlined, gloriously curved and quite unique. Take a look at the video and you will appreciate the artistry of this beautiful piece.
