GRANNY SMITH
Hand carved by Ross Crump - a beautiful, gentle pendant carved from New Zealand inanga jade. The jade Ross has selected for this carving is a light and semi translucent stone that is so pale, in some lights, it almost loses edge definition - it looks quite ethereal!. We have used our Sage Green cord for this piece - a colour that takes no attention from the subtle colours of the pounamu.
To appreciate the design, take a moment to watch the short video. This shows the piece slowly rotating and will give you a clear view of the shape and the colour of the jade.
The matau, or hook pendant is revered throughout the South Pacific as a symbol for life, well-being and prosperity. Its significance arises from the key role that fishing has played in sustaining island families and communities.
We provide this pendant with a Sage Green plaited cord which is length adjustable.
We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Hook design.
Shipping with Express Courier is included in the price.
