We asked Kyohei to design and carve a hammerhead in flower jade for us and he's really delivered - this piece is a beauty!
In some cultures the Hammerhead is believed to protect swimmers and fishermen from the Great White! It is a guardian for those enjoying the ocean...
HEART OF THE HAMMERHEAD is carved from New Zealand Marsden Flower Jade. A beautiful piece of stone with a little colour along the bottom edges and a deep green through the body with pale cloud-like inclusions. Kyohei has finished the carving in a soft polished matte.
HEART OF THE HAMMERHEAD - jade art carved for us by Kyohei Noguchi. The best way to appreciate this work is to watch the brief video we have taken of it slowly revolving. Look for the colour variation in the jade and the lovely translucence through the top half. These are the things that make this piece truly unique.
A little about the twist....
The twist symbolises an unbreakable friendship, a bond that has no beginning and no end. It reflects the natural ebbs and flows that occur in any relationship without breaking the bond.
We provide this with a four plait beige adjustable cord. Also included, our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the twist design.
