NGARU
A long and slender Toki carved by Ric Moor. The stone is a colourful flower jade - wonderful pale oranges and minty greens. This is definitely an unusual mix of colours.
NGARU is carved from a lovely piece of local New Zealand Jade. The quality of the workmanship and design is wonderful - this is a piece you will want to wear all the time.
NGARU comes with a 4-plait olive green cord which can be adjusted with a couple of slip knots. Position this toki where it suits you best!
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
Delivery with DHL Express Courier is included in the price.
