NEW ARTIST: KERRY THOMPSON
WHAKANUIA - to build up, magnify. Carved in the form of a fish hook, this piece represents a person who encourages others. Someone who has the ability to build peoples sense of self worth and grow their good qualities.
We LOVE this matau - it's sleek, smooth, weighty and bold! Carved by Kerry Thompson.
We hand-picked this piece because we're sure that it will find the perfect home. If it catches your eye we can assure you that it is better in the flesh! The jade is what we would describe as lush and beautiful - it is a wonderfully varied mix of colours. A deep green with dark shadows and flashes of orange that give the stone depth and character.
WHAKANUIA is bound with a tan cord which is a fixed length. If you would prefer an adjustable cord in a different colour - please let us know in the comments section at checkout.
WHAKANUIA is carved with Kerry's beautiful craftsmanship - it really is a faultless piece! He has finished it with a soft polish that glows and is gorgeous to handle.
A pendant to wear ALL the time.
Watch the brief video we have made of it slowly revolving. It will reveal all the angles and subtle variations in colour.
The Hook: The wearer of a Hei-Matau is seen as a provider and protector who is strong willed and determined to succeed in life - what a lovely sentiment to gift to someone important to you.
DELIVERY WITH DHL EXPRESS COURIER IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.
Also included, our 'Kia ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the hook design.
