NOW HERE'S A BIT OF KIWI HISTORY! Hand carved from deer antler crown - this is a beauty!
You may not know it but we Kiwis have a somewhat strange attraction to a small, rare flightless bird that scrabbles around in the dark, risking life and limb in a quest for survival in our bush. It can't fly, can't really see very well at all but is tough and fast and quite a survivor! This piece gets to THE HEART OF THE MATTER - strips things back to their essence and displays the complex frame that this little survivor is built on!
A fun piece - beautifully carved by a master carver.
THE HEART OF THE MATTER is a medium sized piece, carved with Fumio's signature attention to detail, his creativity and his ability to take a raw piece of material and transform it into something quite special is evident here!
The front face has a New Zealand kiwi skeleton carved into it - a stunning replica of our beautiful native bird. So here we have a pendant that really gets to THE HEART OF THE MATTER.
Please take time to view the photos and video we have taken of this one-off, collectable piece of magic!
We supply this with a fixed length hand plaited black cord, so it can be worn as an eye-catching pendant. The closure is with a loop and an antler toggle.
It will look equally stunning in a display cabinet - this is without a doubt a collectors piece.
