THE WATCHMAN

THE WATCHMAN - carved from our stunning Kokopu Pounamu!
THE WATCHMAN has an almost camouflage look with its eggshell brown undertone and variable splashes of green scattered throughout. A unique Toki - we're certain you won't see another one like this on anyone else!
Carved with clean, simple lines we provide this with an adjustable length cord and a traditional head binding. The cord is our Whiorau 4-plait in Kalahari Tan and Fern, and the head binding is Fern Green.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
These pendants are traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We will ship this beautiful pendant to you with Express Courier, bound in a hand plaited adjustable cord. We will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
