UNEARTHED WARRIOR

UNEARTHED WARRIOR - release the Warrior within you.

This piece is a wonderful flowing manaia hand carved from New Zealand Kawakawa jade. The stone is a bright, dark green, crisp and lustrous, it glows when lit from behind. The finish is a brilliant polish - it has a silky feel in the hand and looks absolutely wonderful.

This is a wonderfully crafted pendant - carved by Ross Crump. We are thrilled with it - UNEARTHED WARRIOR has a polished finish which gives it a mysterious and soulful aura.  It is also a little fanciful and very decorative - a piece to wear every day!

Ross has incorporated a koru spiral in the tail which gives it an interesting symbology:

The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.

The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’.  The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
