MANA
In stock
Handcarved by Ric Moor. MANA is a very large, contemporary, koru. Hand carved from a wonderful piece of New Zealand pounamu - New Zealand Inanga jade with wonderful blue/green tones.
This particular stone is the Marsden region on New Zealand's West Coast in the South Island. It is prized by carvers for its consistency and quality - they like to work with this stone because it is quite beautiful and its consistency allows a lot of freedom to create and carve. This piece is a great example of the stone's variation and beauty.
MANA is a lifetime piece, a pendant that we would like to think will remain in a family as a legacy piece. A spectacular piece of stone and a wonderful work of carved art!
Take a look at the video - it is a very brief clip that shows the pendant slowly rotating. This gives a very clear picture of the jade and the carving's shape and form.
Worn either side it looks fantastic!
We will ship this pendant to you with Express Courier on a four plait black, adjustable cord. We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card which explains the meaning of the koru.
