BRONZE CASCADE - Bronze and New Zealand Jade drop pendant
This pendant captures a moment in nature's slow theatre - the instant a mountain waterfall commits to its descent... The bronze form descends from a delicate point at the top - like the narrow source of a high-country stream - then swells outward as it falls, widening into a gentle cup that cradles the very stone it has shaped. The entire surface is finished in a polished matte, soft and understated.
At the base, where the force of the torrent meets its final resting place, a perfectly round cabochon of deep smokey-green pounamu sits like a dark, still pool. This represents the rock that has been carved, hollowed, and softened by centuries of falling water. The jade is the destination and the treasure left behind by the cascade.
Worn, the pendant moves with quiet weight, a piece of Aotearoa's wild heart, caught in bronze and stone.
