RHINO - hand carved Rhinoceros pendant - from genuine fossilised, woolly mammoth tusk.

Born from the frozen tusk of an Ice Age mammoth, this pendant captures the soul of the African rhino. Rendered in the ivory of another magnificent giant lost to time, the choice of material is profoundly fitting... it is a tribute to all magnificent beasts from a bygone era, reminding us to protect those that remain.

We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.

Each piece is unique - the variation in colouring is a natural part of the material and gives these pendants tons of character.

RHINO is provided with an adjustable cord and lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
