UNBOUNDED WISDOM - an exquisite manaia pendant, hand carved by Shaun Gardiner.

This is a faultless little piece of carved art. The jade is deep green and very clean - an exceptional piece of stone. To appreciate the design, take a moment to watch the short video. This shows the piece slowly rotating and will give you a clear view of the shape and the colour of the jade.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE DESIGN...

The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.

The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.

We will provide UNBOUNDED WISDOM with a Black cord which is length adjustable and packaged in a woven kete pouch.

We will also include our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explain the meaning behind the Manaia and Koru designs.
