Here's something a little different - a large shield shaped pendant carved from a piece of stone that was collected on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.

A large pendant with subtle and very interesting colours. It is large and just the right piece for you if you're after something that is quite unique, natural and one of a kind!

This piece has really interesting mineral inclusions, gold and pale cream which contrast the darker base material.

Serpentinite stone has traditionally been used by Māori to craft tools, jewellery and weapons. Like New Zealand jade Serpentine is classed as Pounamu and is regarded as a treasured and valuable stone.
