LA FERTILITÀ... a quirky, beautiful piece of hand made jewellery for lovers of original art to wear!

This piece is a modern depiction of male and female genitalia, designed to be discreet enough to be comfortably worn, but conveying the symbolism of the design.

Depictions of genitalia in art, particularly in carved wearable forms such as amulets and jewellery often carry profound cultural and symbolic significance. Across diverse traditions, these representations have served as potent symbols of fertility, vitality, and spiritual power.

In ancient contexts, carved phallic amulets in Roman culture were believed to ward off the "evil eye" and invite prosperity, while vulvar symbols in prehistoric figurines, like the Venus of Willendorf, emphasized fecundity and the sanctity of life-giving forces.

In Hindu tradition, the lingam and yoni - abstract representations of divine masculine and feminine energies - are worn or carried to invoke the blessings of Shiva and Shakti, embodying cosmic creation and balance.
