NGA AWA ORA - Living Waters

In the artists words below...

This Taonga is named Nga Awa Ora which means Living Waters.

The design depicts braided rivers flowing into a vast ocean. At one level, this represents the ecological connection of the mountains, land, rivers and sea. All synonymous with Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud.

At a deeper level, it is an analogy or metaphor for our spiritual, or journey inwards the great ocean of the Creator. There is a stream from on high, that is a river of grace flowing down to us. The other stream is rising, seeking and responding with faith.

NGA AWA ORA really is a work of art to wear! This piece is carved from bone and stained for detail. The centre inlay is gorgeous Paua Shell.

Andrew has paired this lovely drop with a brown adjustable cord. If you like handcrafted, traditional art to wear, and if you appreciate beautiful craftsmanship - check this piece out, it's a beauty!

Andrew provides a note to the holder of the carving, which is included in your package. This is special, as it creates a connection between the artist, Andrew, the carving and the owner of NGA AWA ORA.

This pendant will be delivered to you on a plaited, adjustable cord.
