An exceptional work of carved art. This is a wonderfully creative piece made from a range of exotic and beautifully rich materials. Hand crafted for us by Yannis Petzold.
The Materials.... bone, pāua, lapis lazuli, turquoise, Pounamu, brass and silver
4TH STAR is carved from a piece of bone. The main inlays are New Zealand pāua shell and Lapis Lazuli. The two small round inserts are made from pounamu (jade) and turquoise. These are encased in brass. The three silver coloured points on the outer rim are sterling silver.
The neck cord is a hand plaited, spiralled cord in black. It is a fixed length with a Paua Shell Toggle and loop closure.
4TH STAR is an exquisite piece. It has clean lines, is silky smooth in the hand and just beautiful! Hand made for us by Yannis Petzold, the craftsmanship is flawless.
