COMPANION - Hand carved New Zealand Jade Koru pendant
A new design of a traditional shape - the KORU.
A finely carved New Zealand Jade Koru pendant representing new life - rebirth. We love this piece, it's such a positive design and signifies the hope that we carry into the future. Traditionally the koru was carved to capture an image of a young fern shoot. These are very soft, fragile growths that burgeon into hardy fern fronds. So this gently shaped pendant represents something that is forward looking, positive, gentle but also tough and resilient.
We have added a black adjustable cord with our Aquamarine binding.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Shipping is included in the price and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
