LONGFIN - A hand made pendant with carved eel head.
This is a piece of genuine jade jewellery, hand carved by Ric Moor. He has used rare New Zealand Marsden jade and has utilised his experience and carving skill to highlight the natural beauty of the stone.
LONGFIN is a pendant carved from a piece of our land - wear it and always feel that your feet are on solid ground. This particular piece has been carved from a marvellous piece of New Zealand Jade, locally known as pounamu. The design incorporates a small eel head - a long fin eel - these are unique to New Zealand and are remarkable in their ability to climb and travel overland. This pendant is a beautiful tribute to these hardy stream dwellers.
If you are going to gift this piece - it will carry your mana (spirit) forever if worn before giving it to someone dear to you!
