LOVE SHIELD - Large Koru Shield

A gorgeous half-shield shaped pendant, made from a piece of New Zealand Pounamu. Hand carved by Donna Summers.

LOVE SHIELD is a gorgeous varied green with a splash of dark orange on the outer edge, polished to a satin sheen. A wonderful display of New Zealand pounamu.

Much like us, each piece of Pounamu has its' own 'DNA', its' own structure and special features that make it unique. This provides challenges, and opportunities for the carver. This is where the artists' creativity must be matched with a technical carving skill - wonderfully achieved by Donna Summers in this piece...
