NGAKONUI - Hand carved by Ross Crump - this is a very cool, New Zealand Inanga Jade, manaia pendant.
The body of the manaia is decorated with a koru - softening the detail of the carved head. The tail culminates in a three-fingered 'hand' which is believed to represent the holy trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
This piece looks fantastic from both sides - take a moment to watch the short video to appreciate the form and colour of this manaia.
Hand made from New Zealand Inanga Pounamu, Jade.
The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.
The Koru: The unfurling frond shape is symbolic of new life, new beginnings and the hope that is associated with a step into something new and unknown. It is a reflection of the spirit of rejuvenation and the personal growth that comes with undertaking new challenges.
This pendant will be delivered to you with Express Courier on a hand plaited adjustable cord. We will also include our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind both the Manaia and Koru design.
NGAKONUI is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
