We are really delighted with SNOWFALL. This particular piece of stone is a deep green with whispy pale swirls softening the jade's appearance - it has tons of life and character.
If you've ever been in the bush when the snow is falling, you'll understand why we've named this beautiful toki SNOWFALL. The colour variation, the hints of pale grey that look like a shift in the light and the silent presence of something that envelops you.
We have bound this piece with a traditional lashing in Cosmos Grey. The neck cord is a 4-plait Ghost which is length adjustable.

If you like this hei-toki, please take a moment to watch the brief video, this reveals the shape and the beautiful colour in the stone quite clearly.
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. Traditionally, the adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. It is a symbol of authority.
This shape is derived from a chisel tool used by the Māori people of Aotearoa (New Zealand) to carve their great canoes and carved detailing on their meeting houses. It was an essential tool in their daily lives, and a good quality jade adze was a prized possession.

We will include our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
