FIRST LIGHT - that soft glow appearing on the horizon at dawn. The first light creeping from the hilltops into the valleys always brings the promise of something new and, possibly, wonder-filled!
Big, Bold and Beautiful - this is a very cool piece of jewellery - it will attract attention for its wonderful design and for the gorgeous flower jade it's carved from. We haven't had a lot of flower jade work from Kyohei recently so we're delighted to have this piece to offer.
A finely-carved Koru crafted from New Zealand pounamu. This pendant is carved from a gorgeous orange flower jade - the photos reveal the wonderful mineral inclusion that has produced this rare stone.
Kyohei has carved a koru in relief into the centre of this stylised breastplate, and has used a ridge-top binding to fix the cord.
Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Shipping with Express Courier is included in the price.
We provide this piece on a hand plaited adjustable cord.
We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card, explaining the meaning behind the Koru design.
