A little about the design...

THE PHOENIX HEART

This pendant is for the woman who carries her history not as a hidden wound, but as a testament to her strength. someone who meets her own gaze in the mirror and sees both the heartbreak and the beauty of her resilience.

At its centre is a heart of polished black jade, or red jasper, deliberately and cleanly divided. These stones have long been appreciated for their protective energy and capacity to absorb emotional weight, transforming it into wisdom.

The fracture is not concealed - it becomes the focal point.

Supporting the halves is a warm, gold-plated setting. This finish is a deliberate choice, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with lacquer mixed with powdered gold. This philosophy holds that breakage and repair are part of an object’s history, making it more beautiful and valuable - not despite its flaws, but because of them.

The gold does not disguise the break, it highlights it. It speaks of the precious, meticulous work of putting yourself back together, stronger, with self-knowledge and courage. The black jade provides grounding, the red jasper - stamina, and the gold signifies the luminous dignity that comes from having repaired what was shattered.

This piece is made to wear openly. It is a declaration that a heart can be both whole and authentically scarred. It is an emblem of quiet power, forged in the mending.

Red Jasper is a Stone of beauty and physical strength. The stone in this piece is a marvellous 'sienna' red colour with splashes of pink, pale browns and a hints of silver. We've buffed the pendant to a dull sheen which lets all of these colours glow through.

Our Black Jade is sourced from Australia - it comes from Cowell in South Australia. It has an outstanding deep colour and polished to a beautiful micro shine. Partnered with sterling silver in these pieces the effect is a wonderful contrast in colours and materials.
