This pendant is a small jade tiki pendant. The carving shows wonderful detail on the front while the back is beautifully rounded. These are carved by Ross Crump, a Master Carver renowned for his skill in carving to the jade he is working with. The jade is a rare Kahurangi which is treasured for its rarity and crisp, bright green beauty. The cord is adjustable and coloured black with a Black Floret.

We have a few stunning, hand carved hei-tiki from Ross Crump. These are lovely pieces carved from crisp apple green jade - locally known as Kahurangi. These are smaller pieces, but are visually strong, traditional and eye-catching pendants.

The tiki is believed by some to have come from the stars, and was regarded as the 'first man'. He was (and still is) believed to have a positive influence on fertility, and to bring the wearer good luck.

Wearers of the tiki are believed to possess clarity of thought, loyalty, great inner knowledge and strength of character.
