GREEN HAVEN
In stock
GREEN HAVEN was carved for us by Ric Moor - a renowned New Zealand artist and jade carver. This piece is carved with his typical craftsmanship and from a beautiful piece of New Zealand pounamu. It is suspended from a fine 4-plait black cord which can be adjusted with a couple of slip knots. Wear it exactly where you'd like!
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.
We also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
Delivery with Express Courier is included in the price.
