HONEY BANGLE - ancient material inset in polished Brass. A beautiful, weighty mix of visually warm materials - mammoth tusk and brass!

The bracelet slips straight on and off the arm with no clasp. It is made of hand-carved woolly mammoth tusk pieces which we have set into a solid brass bracelet, and then lightly polished. We've selected pieces of tusk with a consistent grain and colour, but with enough variability to keep it interesting. The mammoth has a beautiful subtle colour and will develop and change with wear over time.
We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
