A Shield of Contrasts

This striking pendant showcases nature's artistry at its most dramatic - carved from a singular piece of pounamu where two distinct worlds collide. Three-quarters of the shield presents a solid, milky kokopu green, with the distinctive opacity of river stone, while the remaining quarter reveals a secret: a dark, translucent vein of high-grade jade, preserved like ancient resin in petrified timber.
