MÖBIUS
In stock
MÖBIUS - hand carved from New Zealand Jade. The stone used for this piece is a very deep green with little mint inclusions in the stone. The jade is beautiful - a delightful and artistic piece of jewellery.
This carving is a carved representation of the möbius strip discovered by German mathematicians August Möbius and Johann Listing in 1858. The principle of this ribbon is that it has only one side and one boundary, it is non-orientable.
These carvings represent the many paths followed in life and love and are regarded as an eternity symbol.
This piece is carved by hand and is a beautiful and striking, larger-sized pendant.
Take a moment to view the video - this shows the subtle turns that are central to this very clever design.
We provide this pendant on a hand plaited, length adjustable cord.
