ODYSSEY - a medium sized, beautifully notched and carved jade toki 

This medium sized toki pendant is crafted from a distinctive variety of pounamu locally called Kokopu jade. The jade is characterised by its dominant pale green colour, interspersed with dark spots scattered throughout the stone.

The piece features the traditional adze form, complete with a carved lashing detail around the head. A row of three notches is precisely carved along each sides, a minimalist representation often used to symbolise immediate family or a specific, significant group.

This is a carefully designed and beautifully carved pendant - it is a striking piece of art made to be worn.
