BELL OF PEACE - a ring of leaves with flower
Hand carved by Madelyne Gourdin, a new artist for us, this gorgeous piece is inspired by the Hinau flower, a white flower that grows on a native lowland forest tree of New Zealand.
The ring of leaves is carved from Marsden Pounamu, and the flower from Siberian White Jade. These are a good reflection of the colours of the flower and foliage in nature.
The pendant is suspended from a plaited Wapiti Brown cord which is adjustable. The cord connects to the flower which moves freely within its leaf cradle. Inside the white petals the cord connects to a Silver ball.
This is a pendant that walks the line between fantasy and realism, capturing the beauty of the flower suspended in a stylised leafy embrace!
