SILHOUETTE - 'Art to Wear' in Black Jade
Wonderful, creative carving by Kerry Thompson. A gorgeous, large Koru carved in Wyoming Black Jade. The carving and finish here really make the very best use of this beautiful material, and show the natural stone in all its glory!
This is an exceptional piece. A large flowing koru with a subtle twist through the shaft - this gives the design a look and feel that is quite unique. We have plaited a 4-strand cord in Black and Grey - neutral colours that complement the gorgeous deep black liquorice colour in the stone. The cord is length adjustable.
WE HAVE ONE PIECE ONLY.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Take a look at the video and you will appreciate the artistry of this beautiful piece.
Also included, our 'Kia ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the koru design.
DELIVERY WITH EXPRESS COURIER IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.
