This pendant showcases the refined skill of Swiss jeweller Michel Girardin. The design is simple but striking: a rectangular piece of Australian Mother of Pearl serves as the base, and shimmering on its face is a teardrop-shaped Australian Opal.

Above the opal, a sterling silver bar rises vertically - starting just above the stone and extending well past the top edge of the pearl. This clean, sculptural bar provides the fitting for the chain, adding a modern, architectural line that balances the organic curves of the teardrop.

Michel comes from a family of Swiss jewellers, so fine art is in his blood. He learned his formal trade at La Chaux-de-Fonds Art School in Switzerland. That heritage and training shows in every detail. The finishing is immaculate - front and back - flawless from every angle.
