BUSHWALKER'S MANTIS - Hand Carved British Columbian Mantis Pendant

We don’t see many praying mantises anymore. This pendant began with a chance encounter - a tiny, alien angel spotted on a recent bush walk, frozen mid-step on the side of a path.

Carved from solid jade and just 50mm long, our little mantis keeps every fact straight: the triangular head, the folded raptorial forelegs, and polished compound eyes. But a little whimsy crept in too - the hint of a smile, wings kept closed, as if it might prefer to perch on you.

Hand carved from gorgeous apple green British Columbian Jade, we have turned this fierce insect predator into wearable, original art.
