A very large, carved disc pendant with gorgeous colour variation and structure - hand made in New Zealand Marsden jade.
This is a beauty! It is a wonderful design (and size) to showcase a really nice piece of jade. This one is carved so that it reveals a good cross-section of the stone, and the wonderful variability in this type of jade.
EARTH'S EDGE is a large pendant and Ric has left a good amount of stone through the centre giving it some depth and charisma.
Take a moment to view the photos and the very brief video w have made of the pendant slowly rotating - you'll get a good feel for the carving and the stone.
Ric carves pieces to be handled and worn. He believes that the stone will change with wear, becoming more beautiful and connected to its owner - we receive jade pendants back to restring from time to time, and I agree - the stone improves over time!
