We love the Koru design and symbolism here at NZ Pacific.... and love is an apt word to use for these little jade pendants.
A beautifully hand carved Koru pendant for you... or someone you love.
We've carved these pendants from pale green Jade we found in Aceh, Indonesia. We love the grey / green tones and the little black inclusions scattered through the stone - each piece is unique.
Koru is the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design graphically represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic for new life, new beginnings, hope, perfection, rebirth, a new start, awakening, personal growth, purity, nurturing, a new phase (in life), the spirit of rejuvenation, and peace.
We will ship this on a hand plaited Black, Ice White or Kalahari Tan adjustable cord and will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
Please use the drop-down menu to select the piece that you would like. Use the cord colour as your guide.
