HEI HEI - showing the signs of wear...

Hand crafted from stunning New Zealand Marsden Pounamu by Ric Moor. Ric is a carver and appreciates the tools and hand work that are used in this traditional skill.

Ric designed this piece to pay homage to the hei hei chisel - used in wood and bone carving, Traditionally these were made from jade, and over time a well-used chisel would wear unevenly at the tip - possibly providing some clue on whether the owner was left or right handed.

This piece is beautiful. carved from a lovely piece of Marsden jade. A paler green colour with the hint of some pale orange on one side. A decorative, meaningful and beautifully carved pendant - original and unique.

Definitely check out the video to see the shape of this piece, it is very cool!
