JOURNEY WITH ME - a beautiful pendant representing a journey shared in love.

This toki celebrates a journey shared in love – two koru travelling toward each other, one from the top and one from the bottom, meeting in the middle like two lives converging on the same beautiful path.

The design is carved on both the front and back faces, replicated so that no matter which side faces out, the story remains complete.

Amanda carved this piece from natural white bone, polished to a warm, luminous sheen. The engraving stands out boldly against the pale surface, making the intertwining forms pop with energy and movement.

In this piece, the hammerhead design has two inward facing Koru, this symbolises family protection and guidance.

The hammerhead shark holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for many indigenous peoples of the South Pacific Islands. It is often revered as a guardian or ancestral being, symbolising strength, protection, and connection to the ocean. 

In some traditions, hammerhead sharks are considered sacred and are believed to embody the spirits of ancestors, playing a central role in myths, rituals, and ceremonies.
