We have bound these in various coloured plaited cords and a traditional lashing around the shaft.
In New Zealand Maori tradition the fish hook represents prosperity, abundance, strength and determination. A fish hook is also worn to show respect for the ocean and as an amulet provides protection on a journey, particularly when traveling over water.
